Breast ultrasound scan in Alicante

Breast ultrasound is a non-invasive diagnostic imaging test performed using ultrasound. This study makes it possible to differentiate between solid masses or cysts in the breasts, and can also show certain changes in the breasts that are more difficult to identify in mammograms. 

To perform the ultrasound, the doctor will apply a gel to the skin of your breast, over which a hand-held device, called a transducer, will slide. In some cases, you may be asked to raise your arms above your head and lie on your side to inspect the entire area. The device sends sound waves into the breast tissue, which will be projected as an image on the ultrasound machine's screen. 

Only you and the doctor will be present during the test to ensure your privacy and comfort.

Once you have purchased the test, you will receive a voucher in your mailbox with all the necessary data, invoice and information. You should call the telephone number included in the voucher, or contact the Operarme team, to arrange the date that best suits you for the diagnostic test.

On the day of the breast ultrasound at the HLA Vistahermosa Clinic you must bring your medical prescription with you.

Once you have the results, you can review them with your doctor of reference, with one of our specialists in person or by telephone through our medical centre.
