Step by step of a surgical process in Operarme

Step 1: Request a surgical assessment consultation

Request a surgical assessment consultation

Once the surgical assessment appointment has been requested through the website, you will receive the following documentation by email:

  • Surgical valuation appointment voucher. Our medical voucher details the date of your visit with the specialist, as well as the time, ñlocation of the hospital, the surgery in which you are interested in, and the fixed price that we guarantee you for a period of 30 days, from the day you obtain the medical voucher.
  • A copy of the General Contracting Conditions for medical services offered by Operarme, so you can check the terms and conditions of our service.
You attend the appointment with the specialist

You attend the consultation on the scheduled date and time (indicated in the surgical assessment consultation voucher), taking all the medical documentation you have (x-rays/MRI, reports, analysis, etc.).

The surgeon will confirm the diagnosis and advise you on whether or not to go ahead with the surgery. In the event that the surgery you require differs from the intervention indicated on the voucher, we would proceed to make a change on your voucher or a personalized quote that you must check and accept before continuing with the procedure. In any case, please contact the Operarme patient service team.

We recommend that you ask all the questions and concerns you may have about your medical problem or the surgery itself, on the day of the visit with the surgeon.

It may happen that the doctor recommends you to take a complementary test in order to make an assessment and complete the diagnosis. In this case, you should contact the Operarme patient service team to get the test at a preferential price. Complementary tests to confirm the diagnosis are not included in the price of the voucher.

If you decide, with the advice of your doctor, to go ahead with the intervention, you will have to sign the consent form provided by the doctor.

The doctor will book a date for your admission to the hospital and for the pre-operative tests, taking into account your availability and the operating rooms’ schedule. Moreover, our patient service team will provide you with precise instructions for the preoperative appointment and the following dates and appointments.p>

Payment of the service and documentation management

According to the terms and conditions of Operarme’s service, in order to proceed with the pre-op tests and the surgery itself, you must have previously paid the voucher of your intervention, minimum 72 hours prior to the preoperative date.

The cost of the surgery is the guaranteed price indicated in the medical voucher, issued at the time you registered on our website to book an appointment.

You can choose from the following payment options:

  • Payment by deposit or bank transfer

Once your intervention has been scheduled and confirmed with our patient service department, you will have to make a deposit or a bank transfer directly to the bank account of Operarme, Premium Health & Wellness S.L.U., account number ES09 2085 8431 7103 3000 9047, BIC Swift CAZRES2Z, in any Ibercaja branch or through your bank’s website or app.

In the concept of the transfer it is important that the name and surname of the patient and his/her voucher number appears; you must send proof of payment to [email protected].

  • Payment by credit or debit card through the website

Visit our website, access your private area and follow the instructions explained in the PAYMENT METHODS email that we’ll send you, and complete the payment in the moment.

  • PAID MEDICAL VOUCHER

On the same medical voucher previously received, the PAID watermark will appear across the document. This document must be presented together with your ID in the Admissions Department of the Hospital on the day of the surgery; this voucher will be an essential requirement to start the process at the time of taking the pre-operative tests at the hospital.

  • PARTICULAR CONDITIONS

This document details all the specific circumstances of the service that you have contracted with us, specific to your personal case, and together with the General Terms & Conditions previously received, the Service Provision Agreement agreed between you and Operarme (Premium Health & Wellness S.L.U. ). You must save and bring to the hospital a signed copy, on the day of the pre-op tests.

If you have made the payment by deposit, bank transfer or financing, you will receive this documentation by email within a period of 48 hours.

The day of admission to the Hospital

On the date and time scheduled, you must go to the hospital for the pre-operative tests or directly for admission, as previously specified by the doctor and our patient service team.

Remember that you must comply with your doctor's instructions for admission day (mainly, attend on an empty stomach, no food nor drinks).

Do not forget to take with you the PAID VOUCHER, which proofs the payment of your surgery, and also your ID document along with a signed copy of the Particular Conditions. It's highly important to bring with you all the required documentation.

If you wish to book our free transfer service (and you meet all the conditions of the service), please contact our patient service department by calling +34 91 141 33 56, at least 72 hours before the date of admission. Check here the terms and conditions of our transfer service.
