If you need a Spinal MRI scan, at Operarme you can purchase the service for 199 € and detect possible alterations in the spine or back, in a more specific way so that your doctor can provide you with the most appropriate treatment.
This test only includes the study of one area of the spine: cervical, dorsal or lumbar. If you need an MRI that involves more than one area of the spine (for example a lumbosacral, cervical and dorsal, etc.) or even one that involves the entire spine, contact us so that we can arrange it for you.

What does a Spinal MRI consist of?
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the spine is a diagnostic test that uses radio waves, a magnetic field and a monitor to record images of the spine and its surrounding tissues.
On the day of the test, you don't have to do anything special. In some cases, you will need to fast for at least 6 hours, but your doctor will tell you this when he or she prescribes the test.
Once there, you will be fitted with a gown and asked to remove all metal objects. You will then be positioned on the moving table, so that the areas of your body to be examined are within the field of view of the machine's magnet.
During the MRI scan, you may hear loud noises, such as tapping or other sounds, so you may be given earplugs or have music played to reduce the noise.
When the spinal MRI is finished, you will leave the machine and can go home, no problem.

After purchasing the test, you will receive the voucher with all the data, invoice and necessary information in your mailbox. You should call the telephone number included in the voucher, or contact the Operarme team, to arrange the date that best suits you for the diagnostic test.
On the day of the Spinal MRI you will need to bring your medical prescription.
Once you have the results, you can review them with your doctor of reference or, if you need to, you can do so with one of our specialists in person by purchasing a private consultation in Avilés, or by telephone, through our medical centre.
