If you need a Musculoskeletal MRI scan, at Operarme you can contract the service for 150 € and detect possible alterations in a more specific way so that your doctor can provide you with the most appropriate treatment.

What does a Musculoskeletal MRI consist of?
Musculoskeletal MRI is a non-invasive test that allows the soft tissues of the extremities (muscles and bones) to be viewed. With the extracted images, doctors can evaluate various parts of the body and determine the presence of certain diseases that could not be adequately examined with other methods such as X-rays, ultrasound scans or CT scans.
On the day of the test, you don't need to do anything special. In some cases, you will need to fast for at least 6 hours, but your doctor will tell you this when he or she prescribes the test.
Once there, you will be fitted with a gown and asked to remove all metal objects. You will then be positioned on the moving table, so that the areas of your body to be examined are within the field of view of the machine's magnet.
During the MRI scan, you may hear loud noises, such as tapping or other sounds, so you may be given earplugs or have music played to reduce the noise.
When the musculoskeletal MRI is finished, you will leave the machine and can go home.

What should you consider before purchasing the test?
A medical prescription is required for the test to be carried out. If you do not have a prescription, please contact our Patient Service team so that they can help you manage the prescription. You can do this by calling at +34 91 141 33 56 or filling in this contact form.
After purchasing the test, you will receive the voucher with all the data, invoice and necessary information in your mailbox. You should call the telephone number included in the voucher, or contact the Operarme team, to arrange the date that best suits you for the diagnostic test.
On the day of the Musculoskeletal MRI you must bring your medical prescription with you.
Once you have the results, you can review them with your doctor of reference or, if you need to, you can do so with one of our specialists in person by purchasing a private consultation in Zaragoza, or by telephone, through our medical centre.

What happens if I purchase a test and don't take it?
Operarme vouchers are valid for 30 days.
In the event that you buy the test and you know that you are not going to have it done in those 30 days, please contact us on +34 91 141 33 56 to notify us and extend the validity of the voucher.

What if I don't have a prescription?
If you do not have a prescription, you can contact our Patient Service team, so they can arrange a personalised diagnostic test + prescription service with one of the doctors at our medical centres. The consultation to acquire the medical prescription has an additional cost of €10, which will be added to the price of the test.

What if I go without a medical prescription?
If you go to the hospital/clinic without a doctor's prescription, you will not be tested. In this case, you may be referred for a consultation with a hospital specialist. However, this consultation is not included in the Operarme MRI service, so we cannot guarantee the final price of the test or whether it will be prescribed at that time.

How long does it take to get the results?
The delivery of results is different in each centre, so you will be informed of this on the day of the test. You can also ask when you call the centre to make an appointment for the test.
