What is included?

  • When you purchase the service, the diagnostic test will be performed at the selected hospital and city.

  • Once the test is completed, the center will inform you how long it will take to receive the results and will provide them in digital format.

Each center has its own method for delivering results: some will send them by email, while others use their own apps or online platforms. In any case, the staff at the center will explain how to access them once your scan is finished.

  • In Spain, a medical prescription is required to undergo any diagnostic test. If you don’t have one, don’t worry — we can offer this as an additional service (+€10) through a remote consultation with a specialist.

Below, we explain the process step by step, whether you already have a prescription or not:

If you have a medical prescription:

    • Purchase the test as usual.
    • Right after your purchase, we will send you instructions by email (to the address used during checkout) on how to submit your medical prescription so we can schedule your appointment.
    • The prescription will allow us to verify that the diagnostic test you selected matches the one prescribed by your doctor.
    • We will arrange your appointment, including the date and time, so you can go to your chosen hospital for the test.

If you do not have a medical prescription:

    • If you don’t have a prescription, Operarme can arrange a call consultation with one of the doctors at Centro Médico Caser, for an additional cost of €10.
    • During the consultation, you’ll be able to inform the doctor about the test you need. Depending on the test, they may request a medical report related to your condition.
    • If you don’t have a prescription or any supporting documents for the diagnostic test, you may be referred to an in-person consultation. If that happens, please contact us so we can guide you on how to proceed.

Remember: On the day of the test, you must bring and present your Operarme voucher and medical prescription.

  • If you decide not to proceed with the test after purchasing it, or if the appointment date doesn’t suit your schedule, you can request a refund.
In these cases, we will refund 100% of your payment without any issues.

To do so, please contact our Patient Service team before the date of the appointment, and we’ll process your refund quickly and easily.

Information of CT scan (One region)

At Operarme, you can book a non-contrast CT scan for one anatomical region for 129 €.

This diagnostic imaging test is essential for obtaining detailed images of a specific part of the body, helping your doctor identify the most accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.

02. What is a CT scan (one region)?

A CT (Computed Tomography) scan without contrast is an imaging technique that uses X-rays and computer technology to obtain detailed images of a specific area of the body, such as the chest, abdomen, head, or limbs.

Unlike MRI, a CT scan is especially useful for visualizing bones and lungs, whereas MRI is better suited for viewing soft tissues.

Features and how a CT scan works

  • High-resolution imaging: The CT scanner uses rotating X-ray equipment to capture images from multiple angles. These images are then combined to create detailed cross-sectional views of the selected anatomical region.
  • Accurate diagnosis: It is particularly effective in detecting fractures, tumors, infections, blood clots, and other structural abnormalities in a specific part of the body.
  • Fast and safe procedure: The scan typically takes between 10 and 15 minutes. It is non-invasive, making the experience more comfortable for the patient.

03. How is a CT scan performed?

On the day of the procedure, you will go to the clinic for your non-contrast CT scan. The process will follow these steps:

  1. You will lie down on the CT scanner table. The technician will explain the procedure and ask you to remain still during the scan. Staying still is essential to ensure the clarity of the images.
  2. Once lying on the table, it will slowly move through the CT scanner, which will rotate around the anatomical region being examined.
  3. A CT scan of one anatomical region typically takes between 10 and 15 minutes. In some cases, multiple scans may be taken to capture different views of the selected region.
  4. After the procedure is finished, you can get up from the table and resume your normal activities right away.

04. What to consider before purchasing the test

A medical prescription is required to perform the test. If you don’t have one, please contact our Patient Service team for assistance in obtaining the prescription. You can reach us by calling at +34 91 141 33 56 or by filling out this form.

After purchasing the test, you will receive a voucher via email with all the necessary details, invoice, and information.

You should call the phone number included in the voucher or get in touch with the Operarme team to coordinate the most convenient appointment time for your diagnostic test.

On the day of the CT scan (one region), remember to bring the medical prescription.

Once you have the results, you can review them with your referring doctor, or if you prefer, you can discuss them with one of our specialists in person by purchasing a private consultation.
