When should the prenatal test be performed?
The Everli Complete Prenatal Test is a non-invasive prenatal screening recommended for pregnant women who are at high risk of aneuploidies.
A pregnancy is considered high risk when one or more of the following criteria are met:
- Advanced maternal age (over 30 years old).
- Ultrasound suspicion of aneuploidies.
- Previous pregnancy with a trisomy diagnosis.
- Positive results from first or second trimester prenatal screening.
- Presence of balanced Robertsonian translocations in the parents involving chromosomes 13 or 21.
It can be performed from the 10th week of pregnancy, both in natural pregnancies and those achieved through egg donation.
-
How is the Everli Test performed?
The Everli Non-Invasive Prenatal Test is intended for pregnant women who are at least 10 weeks into gestation, whether it is a single or twin pregnancy, including pregnancies through egg donation.
In the case of twin pregnancies, only chromosomes 21, 18, and 13 will be analyzed. This means that sex chromosome aneuploidies will not be detected, and fetal sex will be reported only if one of the babies is male or both babies are female.
The test consists of analyzing the fetal DNA found in the blood sample provided by the mother. You can receive the full results within 3 to 6 business days. Additionally, fasting is not required to undergo the Non-Invasive Prenatal Test.

Step-by-step of the Everli Test
Before proceeding with the test, it is recommended to undergo an ultrasound to accurately determine the gestational age. This helps avoid any anomalies that could alter the test parameters and lead to incorrect results.
Once the ultrasound is complete, the test is carried out with a single blood draw for analysis.
This blood sample will be enough to obtain the results after analyzing the sample. This type of process helps reduce the need for follow-up tests that may arise from a positive result.
After the blood extraction, the sample will be sent to the laboratory for analysis, and you will be waiting to receive the results.
Results
Once the sample is collected and sent for analysis, the Megalab expert team will prepare the results report, which will be available in less than a week.
The Megalab genetics team will explain how to access your results:
- They will provide you with a password to access your private area.
- From there, you can check the status of your results report.
- If the results are not available, it will show as "pending."
- Lastly, you will be given the phone number of the laboratory where the test was performed, in case you have any questions during the wait for your results.
