01. Everything you need to know about the Everli Prenatal Test
The Everli Test is a prenatal screening test for trisomies, abnormalities in the sex chromosomes, and major syndromes. It can be performed starting from the 10th week of pregnancy.
The Everli Test is one of the most comprehensive prenatal tests, certified with CE-IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices according to the European Directive).
With the Everli Advanced non-invasive prenatal test, it is possible to determine whether the fetus presents any chromosomal, physical, or genetic anomalies or alterations:
- Patau Syndrome (Trisomy 13)
- Edwards Syndrome (Trisomy 18)
- Down Syndrome (Trisomy 21)
Sex Chromosome Aneuploidies:
- X0 (Turner Syndrome)
- XXX (Triple X Syndrome)
- XXY (Klinefelter Syndrome)
- XYY (Jacobs Syndrome)
Is it suitable for twin pregnancies?
No, this test is not recommended for twin pregnancies. In the case of a twin pregnancy, you should take the Everli Basic Test.
How reliable is this test?
The Everli Advanced Test has a detection rate sensitivity of over 99.9% for trisomies and more than 96.40% for aneuploidies. It also has one of the lowest false positive rates, below 0.1%.
What happens if no results are obtained from the test?
If no results are obtained, the test will be repeated at no additional cost.
Where is the sample collected?
The blood sample is collected at Eurofins-Megalab Laboratories, which operate more than 80 laboratories and collaborate with over 1,000 collection points across the country.

02. When should the prenatal test be performed?
The Everli Advanced Prenatal Test is a non-invasive prenatal screening recommended for pregnant women who are at high risk of aneuploidies.
A high risk is considered when one or more of the following criteria are met:
- Advanced maternal age (over 30 years old)
- Ultrasound findings suggestive of aneuploidies
- Previous pregnancy with a trisomy
- Positive results from first or second trimester prenatal screening
- Presence of balanced Robertsonian translocations in the parents involving chromosomes 13 or 21.
It can be performed from the 10th week of pregnancy, both in natural pregnancies and those achieved through egg donation.
03. How is the Everli Test performed?
The Everli Non-Invasive Prenatal Test is intended for pregnant women who are at least 10 weeks into gestation, with either a single or twin pregnancy, including pregnancies achieved through egg donation.
In the case of twin pregnancies, only chromosomes 21, 18, and 13 will be analyzed. This means that sex chromosome aneuploidies will not be detected, and fetal sex will only be reported if one of the babies is a boy or both are girls.
The test involves analyzing fetal DNA found in the maternal blood sample. Complete results are typically available within 3 to 6 business days. Fasting is not required before taking the Everli Non-Invasive Prenatal Test.

Step-by-step of the Everli Test
Before proceeding with the test, it is advisable to have an ultrasound to determine the exact date of the pregnancy and avoid potential anomalies that may alter the test parameters and lead to incorrect results.
Once the ultrasound is done, the test proceeds, which involves a blood analysis through a single extraction. This blood sample will be enough to obtain the results after analyzing the sample. This type of process helps reduce the need for follow-up tests that may arise from a positive result.
After the blood extraction, the sample will be sent to the laboratory for analysis, and you will be waiting to receive the results.
Results
Once the sample is collected and sent for analysis, the Megalab expert team will prepare the results report, which will be available in less than a week.

- From there, you can check the status of your results report.
