Hospital San Francisco de Asís

The origin of the San Francisco de Asís Hospital dates back to 1921, when Queen Victoria Eugenia demanded the presence of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, for a hospital work that she founded in favor of tuberculosis children. Although it was in 1935 when the Catholic Hospital was inaugurated, it was not until Christmas 1940 that the first patient was seen at the San Francisco Asís Sanatorium.

On October 4, 1951, a new building was inaugurated due to the lack of beds and, in 2012, it changed its name from Sanatorium to San Francisco de Asís Hospital.

The San Francisco de Asís Hospital meets the demands of the health sector. So much so, that it has implemented a Management System in which the following are integrated: quality, safety monitoring, risk prevention, environmental protection and energy efficiency.

In addition, the organizational policy of the Hospital San Francisco de Asís has the commitment of all the staff towards the patients and is 100% involved to meet the objectives set. Some of those that we highlight are:

The San Francisco de Asís Hospital has expanded its facilities to complete the 30,000 m2 of patient care. It also has a medical team made up of more than 150 specialists who offer their services to all medical specialties.

The General Surgery Service, the traumatologist, Dr. David Cimas Hernández, and the gynecologist and urologist, Dr. José Ángel Espinosa Barrajón are in charge of carrying out the interventions at the San Francisco de Asís Hospital.

• Cafeteria: Monday to Sunday from 07:30 to 21:30. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served
• 2 Chapels: masses are held at 10 in the morning (working days) and at 11 in the morning on holidays.
• Pastoral Service: the Pastoral team provides its services every day from 08:00 to 22:00
