Clínica Médico-Quirúrgica Rokava is a company founded more than 20 years ago in Madrid. It is located in the Salamanca district, more specifically in Calle José Ortega y Gasset, and its activity is the provision of surgical services, especially General and Digestive System Surgery.

It was founded by two of the doctors who collaborate with Operarme.es, Dr. Jaime Vázquez Echarri and Dr. Ignacio Kaibel Axpe, together with another professional colleague called Vicente Rojo Blanco, from whose surname we take the name of the Rokava clinic.

Dr. Jaime Vázquez Echarri and Dr. Ignacio Kaibel Axpe are currently practising as private doctors at Operarme, carrying out interventions in the speciality of General and Digestive Surgery. Dr. Jaime Vázquez Echarri

Regarding Dr. Jaime Vázquez Echarri's training as a doctor, in his youth he studied Medicine and Surgery at the Autonomous University of Madrid. He also obtained the title of specialist in General and Digestive System Surgery from the Autonomous University of Madrid and shortly afterwards he obtained the degree of Doctor from the University of Alicante.

During his professional career as a doctor, he has worked as a resident doctor at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz 'Clínica de la Concepción' in Madrid and as an assistant doctor in the General Surgery Service of the Hospital Comarcal de Elda and the Hospital Provincial San Juan de Dios in Alicante. Finally, he has been working as a specialist doctor at the Severo Ochoa Hospital since 1987.

Dr. Jaime Vázquez Echarri is currently working as a private doctor at the Rokava Clinic in Madrid, where he is a surgeon in general medicine and the digestive system, specialising in laparoscopic and proctological surgical techniques.

At the same time, Dr. Jaime Vázquez Echarri combines his professional activities as a private doctor at the Rokava Clinic and as a specialist physician at the Severo Ochoa Hospital, with the position of head physician of the general surgery and digestive system service at the latter since 2010.

In terms of his work as a doctor, he is a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of the Alfonso X El Sabio University in Madrid.

In terms of publications, this doctor has published more than 170 papers in Spanish and foreign medical journals, has made 32 presentations at scientific meetings and 200 communications at conferences, all at national and international level. He has also carried out various research projects and has received several awards.

Dr. Ignacio Kaibel Axpe

Dr. Ignacio Kaibel Axpe holds a degree in Medicine and General Surgery and is a specialist in General Surgery and Surgery of the Digestive System. He is also a specialist in Laparoscopic Oncological Oncological Surgery, Oncological Breast Surgery and Obesity Surgery.

With regard to Dr. Ignacio Kaible Axpe's experience as a doctor, he has more than 20 years' experience working as a specialist in General and Digestive System Surgery. From 1988 to the present day, he has worked as a specialist in General and Digestive Surgery at the La Luz Clinic in Madrid.

From February 1988 to December 1991 he was a member of the General Surgery and Digestive Unit of the Joaquín Tamames Clinic. Nowadays, along with Dr. Jaime Vázquez Echarri, he works as a private doctor, acting as Deputy Head of the Laparoscopic Surgery Unit at the Clínica Médico-Quirúrgica Rokava, a career he started in January 1992.

Since 1994 he has also collaborated with IBERMUTUAMUR as head specialist in General and Digestive Surgery. Since 1996 he has also worked as a specialist doctor at the prestigious Viamed Santa Elena Hospital, where he performs the operations at Operarme.

Finally, he is a member of the MD Abroad Medical Staff as a specialist in General and Digestive System Surgery and Laparoscopic Surgery.

Throughout his career as a doctor, he has published numerous scientific publications related to his medical speciality, and has also participated as a speaker and lecturer in numerous national and international laparoscopic surgery courses.

He is also a member of numerous associations such as the Spanish Association of Surgeons Endoscopic Section of the ACS, Spanish Association of Senology and Breast Pathology Breast Pathology Section of the ACS, Latin-American Association of Endoscopic Surgery, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery and the Spanish Society of Obesity Surgery Obesity Section of the ACS.

In Operarme, Dr. Ignacio Kaibel Axpe works as a private doctor in his field of specialisation, general and digestive system surgery, performing surgeries such as cholecystectomy by laparoscopy and open cholelithiasis, removal of haemorrhoids, anal fistulotomy, anal fissure resection, removal of lipomas, repair of inguinal, umbilical or epigastric hernias with surgical or laparoscopic treatment and removal of varicose veins.

All these surgeries are carried out at the Viamed Santa Elena Hospital in Madrid and, like all the surgeons on the medical staff of Operarme, Dr. Ignacio Kaibel Axpe has more than 15 years in the practice of his speciality, more than 20 years in his specific case.
