Dr. Pedro Navalón Verdejo

Dr. Pedro Navalón Verdejo graduated in Medicine and Surgery and obtained his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Valencia, as well as other Degrees and Master's Degrees in Hospital Organisation and Management. In 1989 he presented his Doctoral Thesis, obtaining the qualification Cum laude.  A few years earlier, he sat the MIR exams and obtained a post in the speciality of Urology at the Hospital Doctor Peset in Valencia.

In 1987 he was awarded the title of Specialist Doctor in Urology and began working as Head of Urology at the "R. Trenor" outpatient clinic in Valencia. Trenor" outpatient clinic in Valencia. Until 1989 he worked as a specialist at the "Doctor Peset" Hospital. Currently, he works as Head of the Urology Department at the Hospital General Universitario de Valencia (CHGUV).

He has a long list of articles published in scientific journals and is the author of 35 chapters in various books, as a result of his research and teaching activities. He has participated in three research projects and has given more than 280 communications in courses and congresses. He has also had significant experience as a lecturer at the University of Valencia since 2003 in the Department of Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine. He also collaborates in the postgraduate teaching of the MIR in Urology at the CHGUV and has obtained the qualification Cum laude thanks to his participation as Director of Doctoral Thesis.

It is worth mentioning the prizes he has been awarded in the field of Urology and above all the Extraordinary "Roel" Prize of the Centenary of the Valencian Medical Institute in July 2006, naming him Member of Honour.
