The purchase of the service includes the performance of the diagnostic test in the selected city and hospital.

Results in digital format
Once you have taken the test, the centre will specify how long the results will take and will provide them to you in digital format.
Each centre has its own way of providing the results: some will send them to you by email, others will send them via their own apps or online platforms. In either case, the centre team will tell you how to access them at the end of the test.

NOT Included - Medical prescription
In Spain, a medical prescription is required for any diagnostic test. If you do not have one, you will need to see a specialist beforehand to obtain one.
Below, we explain the process step by step, whether you have it or not:
If you have a medical prescription
- Purchase the test as normal.
- Immediately afterwards, we will send you the instructions for you to send us the medical prescription to the e-mail address you used to make the purchase, so that we can manage the appointment.
- With the medical prescription we will be able to check that the diagnostic test purchased corresponds to the one indicated by the specialist.
- We will arrange your appointment with a date and time so that you can go to the hospital of your choice to undergo the test.
You do not have a medical prescription
If you do not have a medical prescription, Operarme will arrange a consultation with one of our specialists at a preferential price (subject to availability in the area). Contact us for more information.
During the consultation you will be able to inform the doctor about the test you need. He/she may ask you for a report in relation to your medical problem, if the test you need to have requires it.
If you do not have a prescription or report associated with the reason for the diagnostic test, it is likely that you will be referred to a face-to-face consultation. If this is your case, contact us for advice on how to proceed.
Remember: on the day of the test you must bring and show the Operarme voucher and the medical prescription.

Refund if test is not carried out
If after purchasing the test you decide not to take it or the date of the appointment does not suit your needs, you can request a refund. In these cases, we will refund you the full amount of your purchase without any problem.
To do so, please contact our customer service team before the date of the appointment, and we will manage the refund quickly and easily.

What should you take into account before purchasing this MRI test?
If you need an MRI, first you must have a medical prescription from your doctor or specialist.
In the event that you don’t have one but are interested in having an MRI, you can first purchase and attend a private consultation with one of our specialists in Manacor (Mallorca) and tell the doctor about the symptoms you have; if the doctor considers an MRI is necessary, he/she will hand you a prescription for the test.
Once you’ve purchased the MRI test, you will automatically receive an email with your medical voucher, information regarding the service and the hospital, and also an invoice of the test purchased.
Right after, you have to call the selected hospital/clinic’s contact number (indicated in the voucher), and request an appointment to take the test.
On the day of the appointment, you will need to take the prescription with you. If you attend without a prescription, it’s likely that the hospital staff may refer you to a private consultation first. What does an MRI consist of?
An MRI scan is a non-invasive test in which magnets and powerful radio waves are used to produce images of high resolution of the inside of the body.
Generally, before having an MRI scan done, you mustn’t take any previous indications prior to the test. In some exceptional cases, the specialist will indicate if you need to attend on an empty stomach to the appointment.

Purchase ServiceOn the day of the MRI scan, the hospital staff will give you a robe and ask you to remove any metallic objects you might wear on you. Right after, you will lie on a motorised table that will slide into the MRI tube and, from another room, the technician will monitor the progress of the test.
During the procedure the scan can make loud tapping noises at certain times, therefore you'll be given earplugs or headphones to wear and block the noise.
If you feel uncomfortable in small spaces, or you are claustrophobic, you can ask for a sedative prior to the procedure.
However, you need to consult first with the specialist if this is an option or not. Moreover, you will have at all times a button to press in case you start feeling anxiety or get overwhelmed. However, most people pass the test without difficulty.

How long does an MRI scan take?
A magnetic resonance imaging can last between 15 minutes and an hour, depending on the area to examine. Besides it’s important to stay put throughout the procedure since any move can result in blurring images, and the need to repeat the whole procedure.

What happens if I buy an MRI test and don't have it?
Operarme Tests vouchers are valid for 30 days (from the date of purchase)
In the event that you purchase the test and realise that you are not going to have it done in those 30 days, please contact us on +34 91 141 33 56 to notify us, and extend the validity of the voucher.

What happens if I go to the clinic without a prescription?
If you attend without a prescription, you won’t have the MRI done. It’s likely that the hospital staff may refer you to a private consultation first.
