Likewise, do not eat very hard foods by biting into them, as this will prevent the brackets from popping out and lengthening the process.

Once the desired results and dental position have been achieved, the orthodontic appliance will be removed, normally 18 months after fitting.

After the orthodontic appliance is removed, you will be fitted with a retention appliance. Don't panic, this is a very small piece, which cannot be seen and whose function is to reinforce the teeth so that they do not return to the position they were in. Specifically, it consists of a sheet of very fine wire cemented to the inside of the lower and upper incisors.
