Purchase Diagnostic Test

What is included in this service

Purchase your diagnostic test under Operarme guarantees

What is included?

  • The purchase of the service includes the performance of the diagnostic test in the selected city and hospital.

  • Once you have taken the test, the medical centre will specify how long the results will take and will provide them to you in digital format.

Each hospital/clinic has its own way of providing the results: some will send them to you by email, others will send them via their own apps or online platforms. In either case, the hospital/clinic's team will tell you how to access them at the end of the test.

  • In Spain, a medical prescription is required for any diagnostic test. If you do not have one, you will need to see a specialist beforehand to obtain one.

Below, we explain the process step by step, whether you have it or not:

If you have a medical prescription

    1. Purchase the test as normal.
    2. Immediately afterwards, we will send you the instructions for you to send us the medical prescription to the e-mail address you used to make the purchase, so that we can manage the appointment.
    3. With the medical prescription we will be able to check that the diagnostic test purchased corresponds to the one indicated by the specialist.
    4. We will arrange your appointment with a date and time so that you can go to the hospital of your choice to undergo the test.

You don't have a medical prescription

If you do not have a medical prescription, Operarme will arrange a consultation with one of our specialists at a preferential price (subject to availability in the area). Contact us for more information.

During the consultation you will be able to inform the doctor about the test you need. He/she may ask you for a report in relation to your medical problem, if the test you need to have requires it.

If you do not have a prescription or report associated with the reason for the diagnostic test, it is likely that you will be referred to a face-to-face consultation. If this is your case, contact us for advice on how to proceed.

Remember: on the day of the test you must bring and show the Operarme voucher and the medical prescription.

  • If after purchasing the test you decide not to take it or the date of the appointment does not suit your needs, you can request a refund. In these cases, we will refund you the full amount of your purchase without any problem.

To do so, please contact our Patient Service Team before the date of the appointment, and we will manage the refund quickly and easily.

Request Appointment
  • If you need a Cervical MRI, you can book the service with Operarme for 319 € and identify any problems involving trauma or tumours in the vertebrae or spinal cord, nerve compression, inflammation or possible disc herniations within the structure of the neck, so your doctor can determine the most appropriate treatment.

What should you know before purchasing an MRI service?

A medical referral is required to undergo an MRI scan. If you do not have one, you can contact our Patient Service team on +34 91 141 33 56 so they can arrange a phone appointment with one of our doctors and obtain your referral.

Once you purchase the test, you will receive an email with the voucher, invoice and all the necessary information. Our team will then contact you to arrange the date and time of your hospital appointment.

On the day of the MRI, you must bring your medical referral. If you attend without it, the hospital may refer you for a private consultation so that a doctor can assess whether the MRI is necessary and issue the referral. However, this consultation is not included in the price of the cervical spine MRI with Operarme, and its cost may be higher than the preferential rate offered to Operarme patients.

If you have any questions, you can contact our Patient Service team on +34 91 141 33 56 or complete the contact form, and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

  • A Cervical MRI is a diagnostic test that allows detailed visualisation of different problems affecting the cervical spine, such as trauma or tumours in the vertebrae or spinal cord, nerve compression, inflammation or possible disc herniations within the structure of the neck, which may also affect the arms.

A neck MRI does not require prior preparation, but there are a few recommendations you should keep in mind, outlined below:

    • Generally, fasting is not required; if it is necessary at the specialist’s explicit request, your doctor will inform you when the test is prescribed.
    • Avoid attending with metal objects such as jewellery, keys, watches or electronic devices.
    • It is important to attend the scan wearing loose, comfortable clothing.
    • It is also very important to inform the medical team if you have a pacemaker or any other type of metal implant.

Has your doctor prescribed a cervical MRI?

Make your purchase quickly and with the guarantees of Operarme at one of our partner hospitals in Elche and identify possible conditions in your neck.

    Purchase Test
  • On the day of the MRI at the Hospital IMED Elche, you will be taken to the room where the scan is carried out, given a gown to change into, and asked to remove any metal objects you are wearing. Then, following the medical team’s instructions, you lie on a movable table that slides into the MRI scanner, while the technician monitors your scan from another room.

The technician will tell you how to position yourself on the table so the images can be captured clearly.

During the scan, it is common to hear loud noises, such as tapping or other sounds, so the medical team may provide earplugs or even play music to help block the noise.

If you feel discomfort or claustrophobia, medication can be given to help you relax. In addition, you usually have access to a button to alert the technician if you feel overwhelmed or anxious. However, there is no need to worry, as the vast majority of people complete the scan without difficulty.

  • If you need a Cervical MRI in Elche, you can purchase it through Operarme for a fixed price of 319 €.

This price includes everything required for managing the appointment, carrying out the test and sending you the results. To book this diagnostic test, simply click on any of the Purchase Test buttons.

Once you have purchased your test voucher for the cervical MRI, you will receive an email with the voucher and your invoice attached.

Our Patient Service team will contact you to arrange the date and time of your appointment.

Remember that a medical referral/prescription is necessary in order to undergo this test.

If you have any questions or need help arranging a medical referral for your scan, contact our Patient Service team by calling at +34 91 141 33 56 or by completing the contact form so we can get in touch with you.
