Step-by-Step Process

On the day of your appointment, once you arrive at the sample collection center, the lab staff will carry out the DNA sample collection:

• A buccal swab is gently rubbed inside the cheek for about 30 seconds to collect epithelial cells.
  
  
• The collected samples are clearly labeled and stored properly.
  
  
• Samples are then sent to the laboratory for analysis.
  
  

Results

Once the sample is collected and sent for analysis, the Megalab team of experts will prepare the results report, which will be available in approximately 12 business days*.

*This time frame may be extended due to technical reasons, depending on the complexity of the study or findings that require confirmation before issuing the final report.

The Megalab team of geneticists will explain how to access your results:

• You will be given an access code to log in to your private area.
• From there, you can check the status of your results report.
• If the report is not yet available, it will appear as "pending”.
• Finally, you will be provided with the phone number of the laboratory where the test was performed, in case you have any questions while waiting for your results.
