Dr. Manuel Fernández Arjona

Dr. Manuel Fernández Arjona has been a doctor of medicine and surgery at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid since 1989. He completed his last year of his degree at the prestigious Boston University Medical Center in the United States.

He specialises in Urology as a resident at the Hospital de La Princesa in Madrid from 1992 to 1996, extending his studies at the California University San Francisco and at the Nijgmergen University in Holland.

To complete his studies, he completed a master's degree in hospital management in Madrid (1997-1998).

Dr. Fernández Arjona was Director of the Centro Avanzado de Urología Madrileño for 7 years (2005-2012).

Currently and since 2008 he is Head of the Urology Service at the Hospital Universitario del Henares in Madrid, where he is a specialist in minimally invasive prostate surgery and a specialist in andrology and penile pathology.

As a specialist in minimally invasive urological surgery, Dr. Manuel Fernández Arjona was the first surgeon in Spain to use the Urolift System for the treatment of obstructive prostate, being to date the one who has performed the most and, consequently, the greatest expert in this procedure in the whole country.

Dr. Manuel Fernández Arjona was chosen by the company Neotract thanks to his successful track record in the field of urology to test the Urolift System with patients in Spain.
